Dear GFI Team,
I am reaching out to you, to ask if you could help me connect to a tissue engineer who I can either hire or have me join as co-founder for a clean meat startup. I found your institute through Google a few years ago and learned more about your work through the book Clean Meat from Paul Shapiro.
I am the founder of the sports equipment and machinery development and manufacturing company 2HEX.com (which made over 3 million USD in the last 3 years and is possibly by now know to all skateboard companies worldwide). I use our office to rescue animals from the streets in China. My main goal in life is to protect animals, which with the current business I can only do in very small scale and in my free time.
I want to put my experience and skills into supporting the transition from factory farming to clean meat by founding (or co-founding) a clean meat startup. I want to join and push the global development of reducing media cost and improving production machinery (which is what I am also doing now, just for other products).
If you have a suitable tissue engineer or other suitable biologists in your network, or could point me into the right direction on where I can find biologists and tissue engineers interested in lab meat and starting a new company, that would be incredible!
